Daisy LAWMAN Lever Gun Smoke Bang Rifle with papers and hang tag in original box. RARE AND HTF rifle and box. The toy was based on the. LAWMAN originally telecast on ABC. From 1958 to 1962 starring John Russel. The town marshal of Laramie. Dan was a hard-nosed, by-the-book, seasoned lawman, who is quick with a gun. As Deputy Marshal Johnny McKay.
The series was set in Laramie Wyoming. During 1879 and the 1880s. The Rifle: Is in excellent condition. Approximately 33" long x 5" high. Modeled after the Winchester 1894.
All metal construction with a plastic butt and forearm stock. There appears to be a missing piece at the top of the breach. Not sure as that may be where the talcum powder would have been placed to allow the toy to smoke? Not sure perhaps a collector can advise.
(see photo # 8) The front part of the forearm stock is warped as shown in photos 9 & 10, and slides forward but is not detached. Operationally the lever cocks, you manually pull back the hammer it locks in place, you pull the trigger and it makes a loud "popping" sound and releases a puff of air.
The Hang Tag and Daisy Instruction and parts Paperwork: Included and in excellent condition, some tearing to the paper but complete. The Box: Is in excellent condition. Approximately 34" long x 4-3/4" wide x 1-1/2 high. Beautiful Crisp bold colors and graphics all Images are crystal clear.
End flaps are intact, but (2) internal tabs are missing. Minor edge wear creasing and very minor tear at the end flap. And a great addition to the DAISY, or any vintage toy cap gun collection.
