This Hubley Colt 45 is one of the finest, most realistic cap pistols ever produced. Made by the Hubley Manufacturing Company 1958 1960, Lancaster, PA, this beautiful antique was faithfully patterned after the 1860 Colt Single Action Army Revolver. Hubley licensed the Colt name for use on this replica cap gun. For sheer beauty and fine workmanship this one is hard to beat. Is die cast with a gleaming nickel finish, a gold tone, removable cylinder and beautiful, custom gold inlayed scroll work. The gold inlay (bronze) is done with the Forster Gold scrollwork enhancement. The bright chrome nickel finish is remarkably shiny and preserved for its age. There are no scratches or gouges on the chrome nickel finish. This unique, double-action only, cap gun has smooth plastic, black grips that have no cracks nor chips.

Each side of the grips has a silver metal rattle snake with gold inlay attached. The Rattlers are like the ones on Clint Eastwood's revolver in the film, "A Fistful of Dollars" and others. Cylinder does not rotate every time when trigger is pulled (but the hammer strikes hard with each trigger pull). If you pull the hammer back with your thumb the cylinder rotates every time.

The bullet is designed to have a round paper cap placed inside the brass casing, add the zinc bullet, slip the cartridge into the cylinder and its ready to fire. The strong, spring-action loading gate and cylinder bullet removal lever, beneath the 8-inch barrel, work perfectly.

The cartridges may be loaded or removed through the loading gate or by removing the cylinder. IMPERFECTIONS: Cylinder does not rotate every time when trigger is pulled (but the hammer strikes hard with each trigger pull).
