This is a really nice Mattel Fanner. 45 "Shootin Shell" Cap Gun that is the biggest cap gun pistol that Mattel Produced during the late 1950s and early 1960s. This one is a real gem with polished nickel finish and stag grips. The cap gun has a revolving cylinder that will shoot the Mattel Shootin Shell two piece bullets. 45 Cap Gun fires good and has a cylinder that rotates most of the time. Mattel designed the hammer on the. 45 to cock back in two different positions. This one cocks in the far back position if you pull the hammer back and slightly press the trigger to the side it locks in position. You can also fire the cap gun by just pulling the trigger. This is a very nicely designed cap gun!

Mattel produced very few of the big Fanner. 45 "Shootin Shell" cap guns so they are very hard to find these days, especially in such nice condition as this one. This will be a great addition for someone's collection.
