Mattel Tommy Burst Toy Sub-machine Gun Circa 1960's Vintage Automatic Cap Gun

  

This replica gun contains the colored markings required by law, including a permanently attached orange plug. Matell Tommy Burst vintage cap gun in good working condition. Untested with caps, but the slide retracts and pulling the trigger produces a 2-3 second sound effect of machine gun fire. The slide will hold at about 3/4s retracted.

If you pull it back completely it will slip to approximately the 3/4 point and then hold. I do not know if this is due to stiffness of the spring or how it is intended to operate.

Other than that there is some spots on the rear left side of the stock where it appears to have melted slightly. No cracks in the body, the cap door cover stays in place although the bar that it attaches to to swing out is missing. The rear flip-up sight is intact.
