Kilgore Lone Ranger Cast Iron Cap Gun Nickel Finish Black Grips. Made by Kilgore Manufacturing Co. Cast Iron (Best/Logan, L11.1.2 ñ with one star for rarity), 8-1/2 long. This roll cap firing pistol is a friction break open (designed to be held together by friction of halves with no release catch). This is the later (2nd) version with the larger hammer. Left side of frame (above grips) has Lone Ranger cast into the metal. Right side has small oil hole with the word OIL above it. At the bottom of both grips is a circular indented image of the Lone Ranger on a rearing Silver his horse for those of you born after 1960.... This gun has been fired but is still very clean and entirely original with no cracks, breaks or repairs. There is cap wear, flash marks, dirt and light surface rust around the hammer and cap anvil but no pitting or deep rust spots.. The cap box is very clean with Made In USA quite visible at the bottom. The exterior finish is also very clean with no rust. The black plastic grips are extremely clean and have no cracks or breaks but do show some shrinkage and slight warps at top and bottom (typical of these guns).
