Here is a really nice KENTON CAST IRON GENE AUTRY CAP PISTOL, JR. MODEL WITH THE ORIGINAL BOX. The gun is near mint.

There is some evidence of caps being fired, but probably only a couple as the cap box itself is absolutely free of oxidation. The oxidation on the hammer itself is minimal. One grip has the typical age warp (see photo). I've had success clamping grips like this and heating them with a hair dryer. I'll let the next curator bother with that if so inclined.

The box colors are bright and it displays beautifully. It does have some age wear it's 80 years old! It's missing one inside flap on each end. See the photos for the extent of the outer wear. This replica gun contains the colored markings required by law, including a permanently attached orange plug.
