Vintage Marx Davy Crockett 33 Flintlock Rifle Cap Gun

  
Rare and hard to find, from the golden age of toy guns, a Louis Marx " Davy Crockett " Flintlock Cap Rifle. This great looking 33 long toy rifle is a great acquisition for the cap gun collector, Disney fan, or 1950's memorabilia buff. I guess when little Davy got to the Alamo and was forced to use old Betsy as a club, well plastic is plastic. The moving parts are diecast, and the ramrod is wood (original) with decorative plastic tip (added by me). The gun fires standard roll caps loaded into mechanism by pulling down on the trigger guard. What I found really neat was the way you can cock the hammer and it will fall against the frizzen when you pull the trigger, but you have to continue to pull the trigger all the way back to fire a cap. This is a great simulation of the delay from spark to ignition.

Included is a vintage plastic powder horn from Disneyland's Frontierland. This is a toy and cannot be altered to fire ammo.
