1959 Remington Derringer 1867 Cap Gun Toy by Mattel Leather Buckaroo Belt Buckle

  
Vintage 1959 Remington Derringer Cap Gun Toy Belt Buckle by Mattel & Buck-A-Roo Belt 36 Leather. Leather Buckaroo Belt has unusually intricate tooling and what appears to be the flaking of some sort of leather treatment or something. There are sporadic opaque chips and flakes on the surface, but the leather itself is in good condition. No sections of tearing or cracking, it is a little stiff due to age and likely not ever being used. Note: I suspect this belt is non-original (mainly due to it being 36 long) though it is a perfect width and has the proper type of loop end snap closures, so I could be wrong about this. If it is non-original, it's a damn good replacement.

The old buckle & Derringer cap gun are both in surprisingly good condition -- given the number of moving parts and springs and latches and whatnot, there's an awful lot that can "go wrong" with this buckle. But this one is in damn good shape both mechanically and cosmetically. I wouldn't recommend actually wearing this item, though condition is such that I suppose you could if you really wanted to. Please carefully review all listing photos and ensure this item meets all your unique needs and expectations.
