1960s Vintage Solid Oak Gun Case for Miniature Cap Gun Rifles RARE COLLECTION

  

1960's VINTAGE MINIATURE SOLID OAK GUN CASE / CABINET HAND CRAFTED IN MINNESOTA, USA. COMPLETE WITH SIX (6) COLLECTIBLE VINTAGE MINIATURE TOY CAP GUN RIFLES MADE IN HONG KONG. AN EXCELLENT EXAMPLE OF TOYS OF THE 1960'S.

This custom made miniature long gun case is solid red oak (not just oak veneer) finished in a reddish hued satin varnish, with a glass door, brass hardware and a pull-out lower ammunition drawer. It was handcrafted by the late Steven Gangl of Royalton, Minnesota in the 1960s specifically to hold five miniature cap gun rifles. The bottom drawer is scaled to fit the 2.5" x 4.5" sheets of 96 single caps used with the cap rifles.

It weighs a hefty 3 pounds 12.1 ounces and includes its original miniature antique brass finished padlock (marked "HONG KONG") with two key set. British governed Hong Kong was the well spring of toys and novelties long before Taiwan and later China took over that market. On the outside the case measures 17.25" high x 6.75" wide x 4" thick, The interior cabinet measures 11.5" high x 6" wide x 2.5" deep and has slots for five long guns. The lower drawer has an interior dimension of 4.62" wide by 2.62" deep which holds the individual sheets of 96 caps perfectly.

Included in the bundle are five vintage miniature cap guns / rifles that were made in Hong Kong. All in very good working condition. Check all the photos for more details.
