IT HAS BEEN IN MY COLLECTION FOR OVER 19 YEARS. This 136 year old Cast Iron Cap Gun named "1880" is in "C8-C9" condition with absolutely no cracks, chipping, repairs or modifications. The main springs are tight, the hammers and triggers work and stay cocked. The surface patina reflects great care over the years. This cap toy is a fine example of an American Heritage child's cast iron toy and was manufactured just fifteen years after the end of the Civil War in America. It would make an interesting conversation piece framed and hung on the wall as decorative historical art. Whether you are a seasoned collector or just beginning, this pristine " 1880 " rare cap gun would surely complement your collection. This cast iron cap toy is 4 1/8 long and well documented.
