This is the Electra-Matic 50 battery operated cap gun pistol by Hubley. It was made some time in the 1960s.

It is a great looking and designed piece for a plastic era cap gun. It was designed to compete with the various contraption cap guns Mattel was releasing. This piece takes 2 C batteries and when you hold down the trigger, continually feeds the roll caps and fires them. It was tested with new batteries and the existing caps that remained inside and was working. The intricate diecast cap mechanism chamber is super clean. The whole gun is in excellent condition for its age. The battery box is super clean. This replica gun contains the colored markings required by law, including a permanently attached orange plug.
