Jolliboy toy machine gun

  
This Jolliboy toy machine gun was made in the early 1930's. One of the marks on this gun is a'G' in a circle. They had a large renowned toy department. It is also marked'made in England''patent applied for' and'Jolliboy reg.

This gun has registration number as well. This toy is made of cast iron and tin.

The paint is original and shows some wear and chipping. The gun turns freely on the base and moves up, down, and side to side. Shining a light into the back of the gun it looks like there may be some oxidation but, it is hard to see inside. I have seen this listed as a cap gun but have not seen anyone who described how caps would be put into the gun. It does not open so I doubt that it was actually made to shoot caps.
