Here is a truly unique NICHOLS STALLION. 38 WITH A DERRINGER STYLE CLICKER GUN. All in the original display box. 38 is unfired, is beautiful, and in perfect mechanical condition. It comes with its original 6 "Shootin' Shells". The Derringer is not a Dyna Mite even though the box copy refers to it as one. It is made of plastic and does not fire "Shootin' Shells". Instead, when you pull the trigger it makes a "clicking" sound. Also, the logo on the gun grip and on the holster clip has a "P" in a circle. I have searched the Internet in an attempt to locate a photo of another one of these little guns to no avail. However, I spoke with Mike Nichols, grandson of Tally Nichols, and he speculates that it is possible that this set was produced about when the Kusan company (successor to Nichols Industries) was going out of business. Let me know if you have other thoughts or information about it. It definitely is an interesting variation of this popular set. Perhaps making it more distinctive than if it had an actual Dyna Mite derringer. The holster clip itself has no signs of ever being removed from the box providing further assurance that it is original to the set. The box is solid, completely intact, and very sturdy.

The lid has the slightest age darkening as does the interior. But as can see from the photos the colors are bright and clean.
