This replica toy cap gun is not a real gun. This replica gun contains the colored markings required by law, including a permanently attached orange plug.

Vintage 1940 Stevens'49-ER' Toy Cap Gun. My collection is a little over 100 individual pistols and pistol sets some with their orignal leather holsters. My dad got me started on this- when I was a child he was an Industrial designer for IRWIN, Mattel, Hasbro and other New England Toy companies in the 1950's and early 1960's.

I inherited his collection as a starting point. This collection was carefully stored and curated. Most examples are in excellent condition with no firing/no wear to light firing and/light wear.

I have a few holy grail prototypes including the infamous "ghost gun". They will all be listed over the next few days. Up for sale is an. Original die-cast metal and plastic1940 Stevens'49-ER' toy cap gun in excellent visual and working condition.

Restored to Near Mint by previous owner. Some cap burn around the cap chamber indicating it was previousely used. The exterior was professionally restored by the previous owner- lloks like the buffed the wear spots.

The triggers have a strong snap and the barrels rotate. The handles are simulated ivory plastic with a glued-in simulated gem.

The handle sides are excellent with no cracks. No wear I can see. On close examination the simulated gems are glued in.

I have 6 of these guns and they all show the same trace evidence of hand glueing. This fine collectible comes in a nice custom aluminum case form-fitted with foam and velvet.
