This replica toy cap gun is not a real gun. This replica gun contains the colored markings required by law, including a permanently attached orange plug. Vintage 1950's-1960's Lone Star? "Davy Crockett" Toy Cap Gun and Single "Davy Crockett The Alamo" Holster Set. My collection is a little over 100 individual pistols and pistol sets some with their orignal leather holsters.

My dad got me started on this- when I was a child he was an Industrial designer for IRWIN, Mattel, Hasbro and other New England Toy companies in the 1950's and early 1960's. I inherited his collection as a starting point. This collection was carefully stored and curated. Most examples are in excellent condition with no firing/no wear to light firing and/light wear. I have a few holy grail prototypes including the infamous "ghost gun".

Single pistol leather holster in excellent condition. The conchos and rivets look bright and clean. The belt has (3) bullets. The pistol is unbranded but looks like a Lone Star design. The pistol is in excellent condition.

The brightwork has just a slight age haze and no wear. Some cap burn and corrosion in or around the firing chamber, hammer and strike plate indicating this item was used but not abused.

The trigger is smooth and snaps with authority. The faux ivory handles are excellent with just a touch of light wear marks.

The left handle is slightly browner than the right sun aged? This item has never been cleaned or polished.
